weeks), cleared 13 double-decker buses at Wimbley Stadium (crashed
and broke his pelvis in half), jumped a tank full of sharks at the Chicago
Amphitheater (crashed and suffered a brain concussion, broke both
arms), and skyrocketed over the Snake River Canyon in Idaho (crashed
and nearly drowned), the other once popped an 8 foot wheelie on his Schwinn (crashed and needed eight stitches in chin). Knievel still holds the ABC Wide World of Sports audience record for his 1974 jump over 14 Grey Hound buses at King's Island, Ohio, bubba. |
Evel even appeared (as himself) in the November 5, 1977 episode of The Bionic Woman (assists Jaime in reclaiming a stolen computer tape from the KGB in East Germany, of course). |
