Hear His Battle Cry!
Went to the big Fall MotorCity ComicCon Sunday (Toshi Station Vacation on the way). Good show. Met Biggs, the Hulk, and Wilma Derring among others - best of all I snagged this suhweeet Bruce Lee action figure:

The sticker on the package said that "He is in a rage... for justice", which is nice. Lee was sculpted by Kyoichi Shimazaki and produced by the MediCom Toy Corp. There were a couple other versions with different outfits and weapons (Bo staff and Escrima sticks), but how can a guy resist that "Battle Cry" mug (plus Nunchaku)? Bruce sports some 14+ points of articulation, allowing for a wide variety of Jeet Kune Do poses.

If I find a cheap place to buy one online I'll be sure to post the address.

Scope the QuikCam pictures: Classic nunchaku pose, close-up on face, ninja profile, abs of steel, shoulder blades of fury, tearing out Jon Baker's throat.

Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto
At long last an all-new Station sponsor. Nobody cranks out a slick ad campaign quite like Volkswagen, donchathink?

"Hey, hey, hey!" -- Doo-wayne
The Flashboy has bestowed upon us some enlightening information regarding the Periodic Table o' Funk element number R2: "ReRun wasn't Shabadoo in Breakin'. Adolfo "Shabadoo" Quinones played Ozone in that film. He was the lead skinny guy with the mustache. Quinones was in The Lockers though and appeared on the Gong Show episode of What's Happenin' as a member of ReRun's dance troupe. Just thought I would clear that up."

Apparently he wasn't Shabadoo, but ol' Rerun was still one funkified ball of suspenders and righteousness. Can I get an 'Amen'?

Easter in October
Been to the "Cameos and Hidden Images" section of that Force Dot Net website? Some sly stuff in there, my friend. Scope it.

Are You Sure This Isn't a Test, Sir?
Caught the Fight Club over the weekend. Can't beat that Pitt / Fincher combination. Best opening credits since Seven (Island of Doctor Moreau had some pretty slick credits as well, now that I think about it. Those rascally dogmen, heh). Never heard the Dust Brothers before, but thought they did a helluva job on the soundtrack.

One of us needs to start up-dating this site a little more often, dontcha think?

The latest Point of View is for you MacGyver types lookin' for that next weekend project. Dig it.

Are We Shooting People?
Took Weezy to see that Three Kings movie this past weekend. Most excellent. Highly recommended. Who'da thunk Marky Mark a master thespian? Sure, he sticks with the wide-eyed, slack-jawed, all-american guy who genuinely cares but isn't afraid to inflict a little harm-type character, but he plays it well. Even Ice Cube wasn't that bad...
