hel-low what have we here? The Caped One (Billy Dee Williams) put in an abbreviated appearance to whip off a couple hundred autographs. Security around Williams was surprisingly tight - he had several undercover-types with earpieces talking into their collars and narrowing their eyes as they scanned the geeks for that first sign of trouble. You couldn't take his picture unless you were standing in line (hence the grainy, distant quality of my photo taken on the sly). I opted to not to take the long march, since the next Station Vacation involves seeing Billy Dee in a much more intimate setting (Phantom Menace premiere in Dallas) later this week.

Lando looked damn sharp, however - fancy suit, hair slicked back - very GQ (but no cape).

The ComicCon proved to be m'first exposure to live "professional" wrestling. Hysterical stuff, though I was only able to stomach the action in small quantities. Sadly, I somehow missed the triumphant appearance of the Iron Sheik. I have no excuse. camel clutch!
