 Hal Wamsley holds the prestigious office of being the Jawa who blasted R2 in
A New Hope (aka Dathcha). Hal was signing everything with the tagline "Wanna buy a
used droid?" - nice guy, even slid me a complimentary signed bw 8x10 (my favorite
kinda signed bw 8x10, coincidentally).
UPDATE: Hal may not be the real deal! Next to Hal in the background there is The Herb "Lt. Boomer" Jefferson from Battlestar Galactica (ComicCon veteran). A little further down the table was Kenny "R2" Baker (for a bit more embellishment on the man inside the droid, check the Cincinnati show). |
