Met Dave Dorman down the "Artists Alley". A buddy of mine asked Dorman if he had scoped the Prequels yet (principle shooting being complete and working drafts have been shown, I hear) -- he beat around the topic a bit and without admitting having seen anything he gave a sly smile and said it would "be like nothing you have ever seen before."

There is no question that Dorman is gushing with big talent, but it bothers me that damn near every expression this guy paints is pulled out of well known and well documents shots from the movie (Struzan is the same way). You'd think LucasFilm would hook these boys up with some of the little-seen material from the archives... The painting of the stormtrooper looking through macrobinoculars on Tatooine is glorious, but an image I have seen one time too many, y'dig?
