San Diego
Comic Con 2009 ran from
July 22nd
through the 26th. This year the joint sold out
many weeks in advanced. The event was so jam
packed, attending panels
was impossible. We tried for the Lost panel,
which went down in the mighty Hall H (capacity
6k) and failed. On a brighter note, the show was
a Battlestar Galactica bonanza, which was ideal
as my Special Lady and I have been churning out
episode after episode on DVD recently. Great
show.
Highlights:
-
Hung with the Battlestar crew at the OfficialPix booth. The
three guys who were scheduled to sign at our
booth ended up attracting other Battlestar
folks, who came and went at different points
during the con.
-
Olmos put us
on his guest list for the Battlestar concert
at the House of Blues (a delightful two nights in a row).
-
Designed the
official Star Wars Fan Club Breakfast ticket
and
t-shirt.
-
Picked up 25
of the $5 graphic novels and an dirt cheap
Alex Ross Superman Forever statue.
